Ross - Chuck Berry
When researching popular songs from the fifties I was searching for a song that I haven't heard before and interested me enough to research it further. While researching Chuck Berry songs I came along a song called "Johnny B. Goode", I thought I hadn't heard of this song before so I decided to listen to it on YouTube. I was surprised to find in the top videos for that title after the actual version by Chuck Berry was the version and scene that was used in Back to the Future. I listened to both versions and laughed at myself cause I had seen that movies many times and I didn't even know the song used in the movie was the one I was researching. Just goes to show what you can come up with when researching songs you thought you had never even heard. I proceeded to listen to the song once or twice as just learning about Chuck Berry and everything he contributed to the music industry made me think of how amazing these pioneers of the new rock and roll had to be in order to make a completely new style out of a mash of other styles. In conclusion, this shows how these pioneers even still influence more modern movies, who now pay homage to the artists who helped spearhead the development of modern rock.

As you proceed thru the course, you'll keep coming up on Chuck's legacy, which extended especially into the British Invasion - Keith Richards is the biggest Berry fan.
