Naramore - 1950s Performer

An artist I enjoy from the 1950's is Elvis Presley. I know a few of his songs and one that came to mind was Jailhouse Rock. I love the rhythm of it and how fast and upbeat it is. This is a different type  of music for me to be listening to because I honestly listen to a lot of rap. I found it interesting because there was so much happening in the video, as well as a lot of his traditional dance moves.

    Elvis was not only a great singer but also a staple voice of that time period. Love a lot of his songs but my favorites would have to be Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog.

    Great pick and one - like "Hound Dog" and numerous other Elvis hits - written by the legendary songwriting team of Leiber and Stoller.
