Raleigh Introduction

Hi there! My name is Veronica Raleigh I am going to be graduating in the Fall! I am from New Canaan, CT. I took this course because it seems like something I would find a great deal of interest in.  I love music and have always been a fan of rock. I really like the band The Pixies. Growing up my Dad would always play Elvis. I definitely am looking forward to learning the history behind Rock and roll.

    Welcome Veronica! The Pixies have been totally influential on indie rock acts since. I admit I'm partial to Doolittle but Surfer Rosa is a close second.

    Hi Veronica! Congrats on your upcoming graduation. I honestly never have heard of the Pixies, but the band's name got my attention because I love all things fairy related, haha. The first song that came up when I looked up their music was "Where is my mind," I really liked the sound! Thanks for introducing me to something new already.
